The Département de l'éducation et du développement artistiques et culturels (DEDAC, ex-DDAI) of the French Ministry of Culture and Communication has commissioned Musique & Santé to set up a European interdisciplinary resource centre and to develop a European network “Culture in Hospital”.

In the framework of this mission, contact and sensitization visits are organized in a few partner countries involved in this field. They offer the opportunity to present the French institutional framework for “culture in hospital” projects (see programme Culture and Health), to sensitise local stakeholders and to exchange on possible cooperation between institutions or practitioners.

Project objectives

• mapping of information, stakeholders, and cultural projects that exist within healthcare settings in Europe
• creating an exchange network in order to sensitise public authorities, cultural and  health institutions as well as private partners
